I've upgraded to 1.4.1 but am now puzzled over the sitemap. I'm familiar with sitemaps so this was a nice update to Xenforo but I feel its not fully working. I've watched the video (love those) and managed to set it all up as suggested. I see my sitemap logs confirming it has run but its not showing zipped and how the video describes the document tree here: http://mydomain.com/sitemap.php

    I get this message

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

    <sitemapindex><sitemap><loc>http://mydomain.com/sitemap.php?c=1</loc><lastmod>2014-09-19T20:52:04 00:00</lastmod></sitemap><sitemap><loc>http://mydomain.com/sitemap.php?c=2</loc><lastmod>2014-09-19T20:52:04 00:00</lastmod></sitemap></sitemapindex>

Your sitemap is fine. You're just seeing the sitemap index file that indicates your sitemap was split across multiple files (per the spec).

Ah, I see that now, okay thanks, Mike!

Since we are on this thread, aside from the automatic submission, is it completely unnecessary to add the url to my robots.txt and google webmaster sitemap, and would the link be mydomain.com/sitemap.php

    It's optional.
