Those are the load times I am getting when I go into debug.

I am pretty sure that these are high, even for my site. I only get about 100 people on simultaneously, no more than that. I do have a several addons installed, but I am not so sure if that is the problem or not. If anyone can help optimize this or at least let me know where I could go about optimizing it, would be really appreciated. Thank you :)

I've had another look, and got the load back down to ~2 by installing nginx via plesk. Going through the access logs, there have been almost 5,000 unique IP addresses logged in the last 10 hours!

Code:
[root@server1 ~]# less /var/www/vhosts/XXXXXXX/statistics/logs/access_log | wc -l
541911

Code:
[root@server1 ~]# less ip_addy.txt | sort -n | uniq -c | sort -nr | wc -l
4838

Only issue with nginx is the .htaccess files no longer work, and I can't find anything about setting them up in plesk with the nginx rewrites.

Yes he's been helping me a lot with it.

But for some reason even before nginx was installed.

My site can't get accessed without www it displays an error.

Load is back under control. I've been able to update PHP and MySQL to the latest versions, and have got nginx with APC working

Code:
[root@server1 httpd]# uptime
 23:57:18 up 2 days, 1:23, 3 users, load average: 1.36, 1.22, 1.20

Had to spend some more time trying to get to the bottom of this, and it looks like we've finally nailed it.

A mod installed doing Live Updates was hammering the server with requests for each logged in user every 10 seconds, regardless of their current activity.

Code:
[root@server1 ~]# zcat /var/www/vhosts/XXXXXXXXXXXX/statistics/logs/access_log.processed.1.gz | grep liveupdate | wc -l
531380
[root@server1 ~]#

That is in a 24 hour period! Mod has been removed, and load has come back down again, but some requests are still trying to do the live update post, so guessing they are cached in the users browser.

Code:
[root@server1 ~]# uptime
 11:18:11 up 1 day, 7:59, 2 users, load average: 0.49, 0.91, 1.12

That's with 170 online at present.

I can't thank MattW enough, he's spent so much time on my server. Thanks again man.
