Signature limits - do they get an error message?

Hi, we are having issues with some huge signatures and want to curb that. I see the Signature permissions in the ACP.

If I enable a characters limit, will a member see an error message if they go over the limit?

It's a phrase called your_signature_is_x_characters_too_long
