XF 2.0 Show page in a frame?

I'm guessing that this may fall under the "that's a feature" category. I can't get my forum home page to show in a frame. I use a simple two column frame as my homepage, and I had the VB page on the right side. It was php but loaded fine. My XF2 page won't load at all, just blank screen. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bit of intentional code to keep people from embedding sites in a frame?

The usage of frames is heavily discouraged and should be avoided. They're been removed from the HTML5 standard and are labelled as non-conforming feature. Whatever you're trying to achieve through the usage of a frame can and should be done without one.

It's only for my personal use, on my own desktop. What I'm trying to do is to have two columns, one on the left with bookmarks, one on the right with a live view of my "what's new" page. So when I launch my browser, I see that as well as the bookmark column. I also tried iframes and css and had no luck there either.
