It seems this problem has been dragging on for quite some time. The search function in XF is completely broken in this regard. On our site, I’ve only managed to find posts dating back to 2015—even though there are posts going all the way back to 2005. I can't seem to find any options for refining search parameters within the confusingly convoluted settings...
