XF 2.1 “Show desktop site” not working on iPhone

A number of my members have been complaining that the "show desktop site" function in Safari on iOS does not work on my forum.

Is there a way to remedy this?

XenForo is a responsive design so there is not a difference in the design which is loaded. What are they trying to gain by using the desktop version over the mobile?

That's a good question, I guess I need to ask my members.

My guess is that they are trying to access something that is hidden to mobile users. Not sure what it would be, but I know on some responsive sites, they omit certain things from the mobile versions just to save space.
