I don't think the results from "Search threads" searches with "Display results as threads" checked adds as much value as it could.
From what I can tell, when checked it simply shows a list of threads where any post matches the searched terms and only shows a snippet from the first post in the thread, which may or may not contain the search terms and is thus not of much value.

Wouldn't it be more useful to return an actual thread list in the way that New posts does, with the number of replies and most recent reply? Since we're returning threads and showing results as threads, give us an actual list of threads rather than a list of posts which acts like a list of threads?
