XF 1.2 Set route filter as thread prefix?

I have set my Index Page Route to forums/section1./ which shows one of my forum section on the homepage.

However, I would like it to show that forum, but with a thread prefix selected.

Basically I want to make the index /forums/section1./?prefix_id=1

Is there anyway to achieve this?

That would require a custom modification.

Route filters don't support query parameters.
