Thanks...This is what I get:Run these as root on your server:
cat /etc/my.cnf (that will get your MySQL config)
php -v
httpd -v
and post the results
I had a look at the size of your site, and it's only 3k posts larger than one of mine. There is no need to format the OS, you can do all the updates via WHM on your server.Ok...some work to be done then...Slavik installed Elastic Search for me as I also have the XF extended search addon, APC is suppose to be set up on it and I have a video chat room server software for 123FlashChat also installed.
Am I better to scrub the server and get a new OS installed and get someone to set the server up from scratch again...the server is with webNX in LA and I have an Indian company manage the server administration for me to ensure it keeps going and to fix any issues that pop up...they also hardened it for me as well
All in all a lot of work however at the moment I can't even do a search in the database without problems although the db is around 600meg
Only takes a few seconds to grab server info using script at http://mysqlmymon.com/ site even has video on how to install and use the script. One of the problems is I wouldn't have a clue where to look for those settings.
I know I can't get the php info as that has been locked up
Don't know what the next step of how to get the other info

What's name of Indian server management company handling your server ? there's some nightmare providers from that region ! Not all server management companies are equal !

How do you optimize a VPS?
