XF 1.5 Send Reports into Forum - No more alert?

New to Xenforo here. We used a Reported Posts forum in vBulletin but really like Xenforo's Reported Post feature when no forum is specified.

It would create a red alert with a number letting Mods and Admins know about a Reported issue.

It seems that, as soon as we enabled Send Reports into Forum that the red alert thingy disappeared.

is this by design? In other words, do we get one or the other?

Yes, that's the correct behaviour as you are no longer using the report center.

You can watch the forum instead, which will show a regular alert.
