Hello,

we are maintaining a technical forum for our software, and we would like to get informed via email, when a new message has been sent to any of the threads. Where can I set this up?

thanks

XenForo has a Watched Threads feature built in. Any one who desires can watch a thread and receive an e-mail notification when a new post is made.

If that's not what you meant, then you might want to look at this add-on: http://xenforo.com/community/resources/bd-forum-watch.660/

This allows you to watch an entire forum and therefore receive e-mail notification when a thread is posted.

We've installed the add-on to our forums. However we found out, that only that person receives an email, who created the thread, and not all the administrators. We expect an e-mail to be sent to the default e-mail address when ANYONE posts a message in the forum, in any of the threads.

The add-on allows you to watch for new threads and all replies. If you want emails to go to the forums default email address just setup a dummy user account with that same email address, login as that dummy user, click to watch all forums (for both threads and replies) and then the email notifications should work as you have described above. Cheers,
