Implemented See nodes based on custom user fields

I would like to be able to choose what forums/nodes should be accessed by a user based on custom user fields selection. For example if I have a custom user field where a user can choose relationship status, single or relationship and they choose single then they might have access to a forum/node named Single's forum and if they choose relationship they don't have access to this forum.

This is just an example and I hope I made my suggestion clear.

I know this is an old thread, but you can do this via the user group promotion system.
