Lack of interest Search results - No results found - why no link to Search Again?

Seems to me that if people find no search results, that they will want to search again with a slightly different search term or search options. So why no 'Search Again' link to go to the advanced search with the search term and options carried through so they can be modified?
Not having the link is inconsistent with when there *are* search results and the Search Again link is displayed.
