Search Engines and User Profiles

Ok, I didn't find anything related to this in the forum, so there it goes:

I'm currently working on reviving my site, and I came to search on Google for "site:paranormalis.com" in order to see what comes up first, how many results I get and such.

It seems that a lot of the top results are member profiles rather than actual content. Why is that ? Is it normal, or should I do something to improve my site's SEO ?

Please let me know what you think. Thanks :)

I wouldn't call this a problem. Google ranks web pages by popularity. I am guessing your site hasn't yet had a chance to develop page ranks for your main content. Once people start linking to your content then that content will get bumped to the top of your Google results.
