Thank you for reporting this issue. The issue is now resolved and we are aiming to include that in a future XF release (2.1.0 Beta 3).

Change log:

Only hide horizontal overflow on select inputs to ensure scrolling is not prevented when needed.

Any changes made as a result of this issue being resolved may not be rolled out here until later.

Can you reproduce it here on the Search forums page? Can you reproduce it on that page on your own forum? Which browser/version are you using?

Unfortunately it appears to be a Firefox-specific issue. I've reported it to them:

1512120 - Some overflow-x/y values cause unpredictable behaviour on <select> elements

NEW (nobody) in Core - Layout: Form Controls. Last updated 2026-06-01.
