Fixed screen automatically goes to top of page

Getting multiple reports of the following...

When I reply to a message the screen automatically scrolls to the top of the page and I have to scroll back down to the bottom to start typing anything

when hitting “reply” or attaching and image in a thread it takes me to the top of the post and have to scroll down to hit post.

Happening on:

• Windows 11/Chrome
• iPad/Chrome
• iPhone 11/Safari
• iPhone 13/Safari
• Pixel 9/Edge

Happening on default style with all addons disabled.

I can confirm the described behaviour.

Several users complained about these bug and I could reproduce it using Safari on iPad/iPhone devices.

Edit: Xenforo software running on version 2.3.2, too

I've noticed this too several times on mobile while scrolling down to the editor.

Using Firefox on both desktop and Android mobile. Bug is not present. Probably a Chromium/Safari thing.

Hello, I have multiple users also reporting similar issues since the 2.3 upgrade. I'm running 2.3.3.

It will complete freeze my Google Chrome on my Pixel.

Since the update it’s like my phone scrolls up and down in a frenzy all by itself randomly here now. It won’t do it until I try to scroll up and then it will go nuts.

Tested this on Vanadium. No issues. Which is funny because it's Chromium-based.

I cannot reproduce it neither but I'm on iPhone. One user says he's running Android 14.

I've noticed that trying to scroll through posts with expanded spoiler text often causes my phone's web browser to randomly scroll up or down on its own after I scroll away. This gets very frustrating especially if a post is long or has a lot of spoiler tags in it. Confirmed this happens here on the community forums as well as our forum.

I can't speak for all mobile browser and OS combinations but it happens on my Android 13 phone running chrome 108, as well as Firefox 108, and it happens on my iPad pro running safari (unknown version).
