Safari push notifications coming to macOS and iOS

OK I got the swipe to work after gradually working my way down the screen. At 3/4 of the way down the swipe worked.

So I thought it had to be exactly the right spot. But when I tried again, ie tap on new then the thread then 3/4 way down it didn’t work 🙁

However I did get it a couple more times but seems only in a certain spot on the left, but no consistent place as far as I can tell.
🤷‍♂️

Swiping the screen for me doesn’t go back a page, just highlights text sometimes.

Maybe I misunderstood. I’m on iPhone with 16.4.1 perhaps I need to wait for an update.
iPhone 13 Pro with 16.4.1 and it works. What I DID have to do (don't know why) is sign out of iCloud on the device, I rebooted then signed back into it again and PWA started working for me, along with the swipe left/right process.

Seems to be a known issue in some circumstances with iCloud and not specific to this one example.
I didn't need to do this on my devices for this specific case, but I've had other weird occurrences where sign out/in fixed the issues.

Yeah, I don't normally use my phone for browsing unless it's to look something up real quick when I'm doing some work and don't have a computer handy. I do have a shortcut to my site on it, and no matter how many times I deleted it and then recreated it, it was always with normal browser controls, even though the shortcut showed PWA on it (if I remember correctly).
I prefer to take care of most of my web based activity on a desktop, laptop or larger tablet (iPad Pro limited to certain things when I'm out working with the telescope since the battery life is great).

I just saw this on Reddit. I’m not smart enough to understand most of it, but is this anything useful for XF? @Chris D

Doesn’t seem like much point in implementing a new library for push notifications when we already have implemented push notifications.
