XF 1.4 Route Filter

Is there any way to use the inbuilt route filter system that will enable a better user profile address?
Example:
Currently there is:
http://www.mydomain.com/members/MyUserName.100/
And what I would like to have is:
http://www.mydomain.com/MyUserName

I am improving the User Profile page into a type of Facebook Wall replica to hopefully entice more users to the site and a part of that is to set up a more personalised link to a user's profile page so users can give their web address to friends etc.

Any help is appreciated and thanks

No, you cannot remove the route (members/) with the route filter system.
