I'm wondering how usable it is for someone who is handicapped though?

I asked my moms boyfriend to see whether or not it is easy for him to use (He's blind, and partially deaf).

I have ensured that no functionality is lost when javascript is disabled, and the tabs remain large clickable areas to get around the site. In due course they will get keyboard navigation accelerator keys too, so hopefully it's fairly accessible.

I find that's only if you're actually hover over the arrow that it'll open, otherwise it doesn't. I don't mind it this way.

I don't click in the navbar, except for the link I want to go to.
I hover over the arrow, which slides it out and I select what I want, if it isn't on the current page.

It doesn't. Hover over it and it will open the dropdown automatically after a brief pause.
