XF 1.5 Restore backup only attachments?

Would this be possible to do? Normally restoring a full backup is the best option but looks like the data below would be enough.

Tables:
xf_attachment
xf_attachment_data
xf_attachment_view

Folder:
/public_html/internal_data/attachments/

It looks like there is also attach_count in the xf_post table

We would never recommend doing a partial restore as it could result in data corruption or inconsistency.

Can I ask something about this?
We recently found out that our backups had stopped working for some considerable time.. Now we can get the DB backups, but how can we do an import/export of XFMG and all attachments (inc PM's) if we ever needed to restore?
Is there a way?

As in, how do you make a backup? You just need a copy of the DB and everything within your XF root directory (assuming you having moved the internal_data or data paths via config.php).
