Fixed Repetitive characters only showing as one

Those characters have special meaning in Markdown, so this isn't entirely unexpected on boards with Markdown enabled.

Seems like a major conflict since people actually use those combos a lot, I often use a blank underline or multiple stars.

Scroll down to Convert Markdown-style content to BB code and uncheck that option.

Was on here so didn't expect it.

I went to censor a name and it didn't work so tried 5 underlines. Coincidence those are md!

Thank you for reporting this issue, it has now been resolved. We are aiming to include any changes that have been made in a future XF release (2.1.6).

Change log:

In Markdown parsing, do not match a string of asterisks or underlines as valid blocks of bold or italics.

There may be a delay before changes are rolled out to the XenForo Community.
