XF 1.2 Removing index.php from url

I'm trying to clean up the url to my site, so I need to get rid of the ugly "index.php?" part of it. How can this be done? I have seen some guides when I googled it, but it seems to be different for everyone. I have Xenforo (obviously) running on apache2.

ACP > Options > Basic Board Information

Tick the option Use Full Friendly URLs.
