Removing HTML code clutter in posts

For whatever reason, (I don't remember why), we had allowed html in many of the forums on my site. It may have been a video upload thing at the time.

My new xf test site, of course, doesn't parse the html and I'm finding lots of code clutter in my posts. Is there a way to clean this up automagically or will I need to have my team seek and edit?

    Thanks
