Have the ability to globally disable the Media Gallery commenting system, as can be done with albums. This would avoid having to go through permissions and above all it would allow links to comments that persist to be deactivated.

I have completely removed the display and writing of comments in the gallery via permissions. But in the sub-navigation and in the What's new page Menu the links to the comments persist and it is very confusing for users, how to remove them properly?
(i can deactivate the template modification for the menu but for the sub-nav i have no idea how to remove the link)
On the other hand, it would be a good idea, like albums, to globally remove the comments system using a simple checkbox rather than via permissions. (I will post a suggestion along these lines.)
