XF 2.2 Rejected users forum or contact

Is there a way to allow rejected users access to a single forum or to allow them to send direct messages to admins, so that legit users that were rejected can show that they aren't bots

This is what we do on the site I run and also on the site I am staff on.
The only special area we offer on either site is a banned one. If you are banned, you are allowed to post in there until you become a pest and then are kicked to the proverbial curb in that area.

Too many other random emails go through that form, so I was hoping to seperate incorrectly rejected users with a different method

What I would do then is edit the rejected user phrase user_account_rejected_body_html and add a sentence saying if they believe the account was rented in error, to use the contact form, but you can give them a code to enter into the subject line so that you can then filter those emails from the random rubbish. Make sure when you reject to tick the box to notify them.
