Registered feeds outranking blog

I've got an interesting dilemma. I have a registered feed set up for news from my blog. It is scheduled to check at 60 minute intervals. Ideally, I'd like it shorter, so that folks can comment on news as it happens.

Even at 60 minutes, Google is ranking the forum feed above blog posts. There is a link to the original post that is no-follow (within post) and at the bottom of each post (no-follow). I've got assorted ping services set up in Wordpress when I publish new posts. It's hit or miss, but lately miss.

Here's an example.

Any ideas?

Anyone else using registered feeds? I guess the good news is that I'm ranking and that the forum ranks well. I would prefer that news from my actual site outrank the forum news.
