MG 2.0 Reduce size in images when uploading

Is there a way to reduce the size of the images the users are uploading ?

I don't want to let the users upload 24 MB images with 5600px of resolution. I am limiting the size, but the users have to reduce all the images by size before uploading them. Is there a way to do this automatically ?

Yes. It's in user group permissions. In XFMG Upload quotas,

Maximum file size (MB) to a smaller size (e.g. 2Mb or whatever you prefer)
Also set the Maximum image width and Maximum image height (e.g. to 1024 x 1024 or whatever you prefer)

This will automatically resize images uploaded to the gallery both in terms of their dimensions (w x h) and filesize.

You can also then set higher limits for other user groups if you want to give privileges to some users.
