XF 1.4 Redirect import of vb3 in subdirectory to xf in route

I have downloaded the vbulletin 3 redirection script.

Currently my vb 3 installation is in domain.com/forums

I want to migrate to xenforo, but in the route domain.com

Can anyone please tell me if I configure the redirect script to do this (and how to do it), or do I need a separate (global) redirect

There is an alternative the rewrites specific URLs up to the parent. I'm trying to find the details to that as I know it has been discussed before.

Thanks, I don't have a very good memory. I never goit that working but have only now managed to try that migration again
