@denam All your requests are filled. Could you please inbox me a zip file of plugin "ibEconomy Points" with the author permission of course, so that I can make a imported for it and release as soon as possible. Thanks!

On our board, users are trading horse cards as a game. Currently, the seller has to delete his horse card image and the buyer has to upload the deleted horse card image. In the process of that, the horse card image's quality decreases since it is in jpeg format. After my IP.Board to Xenforo conversion I am planning on purchasing the xenforo media gallery for this horse card game.

It would be perfect if users were able to sell authorship of a media gallery image using your credit points for this purpose.

I find it it quite distracting, but will do.

You could always add an option to disable it if members find it distracting?

If you meant something like the only thing kitty cat dollar does is reward people for the likes, then yes.

ok got it.

I got 2 questions. Can you explain this a little more? I am having a hard time understanding it. It's seems its a new feature that i'm not familar with.

  • User can now transfer his/her/its earned amount to another user
  • User can now request another user to send his/her/its amount

Here i will explain how i think it works and i will also explain why i am confused.

If i want to transfer some of my fake money i just search the user and i can send him some of my earned fake money. But he must accept or decline the transfer.

Therefore if i send someone 20 fake dollars. I have to wait until he accepts it before my money will get deducted.

After he accepts it. Then i will be deducted 20 fake dollars. Not before. Is that correct?

Or...

My money will be deducted and will be put in the "forum bank" until the other user accepts it. If he rejects it. Then my money will be put back into my account?

What confused me is: Why is there an spot for email? and why does it say: You have to pay? (in the image it says: You have to pay 0.97USD)

Does this mean members have to pay .097 to the admin everytime for using the transfer feature?

I am a little confused about the email part also. Why do you need an email. If you are just transfering fake money to another member. It shouldn't need an email.

It seems i am misunderstanding this feature.

Next Question

I was testing a photo on your forum. It shows my image has been viewed 5 times. But i've only recieved payment 1 time. How does this feature work?

Even if the same member views the image 10 times will it only count as 1 view? because he already saw it?

or

Every view no matter how many times will count as 1 view.

What about when guests or robots view the image?

I remember asking Chris how the # of views work:

https://xenresources.com/threads/how-does-the-of-views-work.1713/

The number of views is very simple. Any person who views the image, whether that be the author, a guest, a bot, admin, normal user, the count will increment by 1. No cookies are involved. It is not unique visits. If one person views it 500 times, the count is 500.

Since its a core feature now, it cant be disabled.

User can now transfer his/her/its earned amount to another user
Yes, say for example. User X helped User Y in fixing a site issue. User Y can't donate in real money but can donate / transfer his currency amount to User X as a appreciation.

User can now request another user to send his/her/its amount
Same as above, but User Y didn't think about donating / transferring his currency, so User X will send a request to User Y to send some currency.

Here i will explain how i think it works and i will also explain why i am confused.

There is no end-user confirmation as of now. Once you send the currency aka fake money, it will be instantly deducted from your account and credited to the recipient.

What confused me is: Why is there an spot for email? and why does it say: You have to pay? (in the image it says: You have to pay 0.97USD)
Please read the 16th point in the update log.

Anti-cheat system. Detect cheating and automatically ignore crediting to the visitor, which is you.

Every view no matter how many times will count as 1 view.

Guests and robots are not considered as members so their action has no result.

I remember asking Chris how the # of views work:
@Chris D explained how does views work, not how does views are read by my add-on :)

Please read the 16th point in the update log.

User can now request to exchange his earned currency with real money, minimum amount and other options can be adjusted per currency

I still don't understand this. I can't really see the full screenshot. I think this is why i am confused. Is that screenshoot from the admin panel or a member?
Who does the request go to? The forum admin?
Is this the withdrawl feature? Except just re-named to "Exchange"?
Ok i checked another screen shot. I am positive the exchange feature is withdrawl right?

i see..

got it..

interesting...

Send the fake money "transfer" is just from "user to user"
and
Exchange Request = Request the forum admin to "exchange" your "fake money" to real money, therefore the admin has to send you the real money by paypal.

correct?

This view thing made me think a lot..

Guests and robots are not considered as members so their action has no result.

But technically "guests" should still be considered a "view" since they are able to view the image.

Unless they were not allowed to view the images... Which reminds me of a good future request for the media gallery. I hope xenforo adds this in the future.

https://xenforo.com/community/threads/add-new-permission-view-thumbnails-but-not-full-size.87006/

Then not counting guests as "views" would be true . Because they would be blocked from viewing the actuall media and if you opened up "viewing" for guests. Then it would be counted as a "view"

As for robots... i'm not sure why xenforo would make the views go up for robots. They aren't real people so it doesn;t make sense to count them as views

Anti-cheat system. Detect cheating and automatically ignore crediting to the visitor, which is you.

But if someone or myself goes back to view the picture 5 times because they liked it. it would still be considered a view each time and it's not cheating... unless they sat there and re-freshed the page to gain credits... then thats cheating

I guess it depends on each forum admin how they would consider "views" and "cheating"

interesting...

There has to be something to which actions reflect back.
| > < |
| = The user

Take it the other way, You have 6 new members. You made very cool software, but you put a restriction of 2000 'fake money'. If a user keeps viewing his image more than 1000 times in a week, and the view action amount is set to 30.00, wouldn't he be able to cheat the system?

I guess it depends on each forum admin how they would consider "views" and "cheating"
No.

#1 So it won't be possible in the future to count the guests views as views?
So it won't be possible in the future to count every view as a views? even if they go back 5 times to view the same picture?

Admin Options:

Views Options:
-Include Guests [ ]
-Include Robots [ ]
-Allow Multiple views even if from the same user/guest [ ]

It would be cool if we choose could allow it. So 5 views = 5 times money earned. Even if it is from guests/members viewing it multiple times/robots

#2 i was testing the views on your website. Someone viewed and liked my photo again this morning but i never got paid for the view. I only got paid for the like.

There has to be something for the action to bounce back to. Though I can try to add a option for that purpose, no promises.
