I follow dozens of forums. I see all kinds of interesting, entertaining, and informative signatures. But seeing the same "clever" signature in every post gets a little old. I came here to suggest providing a way to have multiple signatures that would be selected randomly or on a rotating basis. As I was entering the title, I saw that this had already been posted in this thread.
I tried to add a reply, but was not allowed, so I am posting here.
What I would have added to that thread is my suggestion that the signature be expanded to include a variable section that could have multiple entries that would be selected randomly or on a rotating basis to be included in or around the signature. Alternatively, it might be better to make it a new section separate from the signature. That would allow it to have its own format.
This new section could be called something like adages, aphorisms, apophthegms, axioms, bywords, dictums, epigrams, mottos, precepts, or truisms.
I think this would be a fun and entertaining enhancement.
I just added a signature to my account to let everyone know that I am just a forum user, not a forum owner or operator. I see that my new signature has been added to even very old posts (2015). IMHO, signatures should be fixed, not dynamic. Whatever was in the signature at the time of the post, such as the release/version of software used at that time, should be preserved. Otherwise, the content of the post may not make any sense later. If this random feature is added, it should also not change after the post is recorded.

The ability to set multiple signatures and one gets randomly displayed every page view. The add on should also have permissions to be use able per group.
