As designed Quote in spoiler not visible when you quote it?

When a post contains a spoiler tag with a quote in, it this is not visible when that post is quoted. So you get an empty spoiler tag (already in editor and post). Is this normal behavior?

Yeah this is just how quotes work. We don't really have a concept of nested quotes, as you can see above. I added a quote to your message, and you'll see that now I've quoted your message, the quote I added isn't visible.
