Questions about hosting and video chat integration

Hi, I have asked some other questions on here about transferring my forum from SMF to XenForo and I am about ready to pull the trigger. However, I have a couple of questions.

First, I am currently hosting my site on cloud based server on Dreamhost. Can anyone give any advice on whether this is a good hosting site for optimal performance and stability for XenForo? If not, what would you recommend? Keeping cost down is important to me.

Second, what are some options for integrating video chat into a XenForo forum?

Haven't used any for video chat so I can't recommend any. I have used CometChat but only for its text chat. All I can remember about it is that after uninstalling it, my forum felt so much faster. This was years ago so I'm not sure if they've improved lately.

The posts in that thread are from 8 years ago. Would you still recommend the platforms suggested in those posts? Has anything better come along in the last 8 years than what was suggested?

I may be out of date with this, but a couple of years ago we did some forum webinars using Google - as the video chat is stremed live on Youtibe you can embed the youtube link in a thread post or on a page. So if that still is the case then the answer is yes. But don't quote me on it - try it out on the demo.

A lot has changed in that time. I have been looking for a self hosted one-to-many chat room solution that isn't Flash reliant, and will integrate with the member sessions. The offerings out there are slim at best. Wondering if you or anyone else has found something since this thread was more active?
