XF 2.3 Question regarding the process of converting attachments from JPG to WEBP

I'm doing this for a few reasons. Faster page loading, less usage or resources, and smaller backups... It appears to system creates a new file for each image in reduced size. Is that the case? If so, the original images are still on the server, correct? If so, that'll mean larger backups... Or does the system delete the original image?

sure....somehow ive ended up with 60gb of bloat...the counts didnt match, i found some jpg and png....
ive got a ticket open but idk whats going on im sorta waiting..

regards
Would you please share an update here when you receive one? I'm assuming you were left with two sets of image files for each attachment - the new version and the old version.

hello,
yes sorry for the slow reply, the fix will probably be a couple weeks if im guessing....i do have more info fwiw tho....

i think you are basically right, but why etc is something else....the script exited "clean".....yet did not complete.....i ran it on a test installation and it "seemed to work"....it avoided the bloat part but still did not catch all the images....the test was the browser method actually(taking a few days to finish but it seemed to), and the worse fail was by CLI so idk what sense that makes......

it ran slower as it kept going....its worth to check the stats anyway and do a test first, then do the live the exact same way...i sort of suspect some remnant issue from migrating from vb but really i have no idea....

regards
