Question About Xenforo templating system

Discussion in 'XenForo Pre-Sales Questions' started by Carl Joseph Markham, Apr 15, 2011.

  1. I have noticed, from a few posts, that xenforo uses custom html tags in its code. Like <xen:sidebar>. my question is how is this done? how does the script interpret this?

It's not smarty. xenForo uses its own templating system.

XenForo uses its own custom templating system that interprets XenForo syntax and converts it to PHP/HTML when the template is compiled.
