RM 1.2 Query latest resource version

Is there some sort of REST API that would allow an auto-updating software to query the latest version of a resource/itself?

I think Brogan or Chris D have an installer manager if I remember correctly, which when used seems to query if there are updates available. Just letting you know, maybe it can disclose how they're doing it to find this api call. I am not aware of any, sorry.

Good point, XenForo ACP itself is using it to check for add-on updates?
@Brogan @Chris D any chance you could point me in the right direction?
Is it documented or should I scan the ACP code to see how it's done? Which source file should I take a look at first?

There's no REST API. It uses screen scraping to read info from the RM here.
