XF 2.2 Putting image proxy traffic through a proxy?

Hi,

I run a forum and I want to use the image proxy to protect users from pixel trackers and other malicious things but this reveals the IP address of the server meaning that people can find the server's IP and DDoS it/do other malicious things. Is there a way to put the image proxy through a SOCKS/HTTP proxy so the real IP address of the web server doesn't get revealed?
