XF 1.1 Pruning Posts

Discussion in 'XenForo Questions and Support' started by newyorksportstown, Oct 24, 2013.

  1. How do I automatically prune posts in a particular thread?

I have a forum that is collecting RSS feeds. I review periodically and move relevant ones to different forms. Otherwise I want to just delete posts in this specific forum older than X days old.

There's no automated way to do that. You can use the "batch update threads" feature in the control panel though.
  3. Thanks - where in the admin panel is this feature?

Admin CP > Applications > Batch Update Threads
  5. I don't see that option under Applications. I only have:

    • Display Node Tree
    • Create New Node
    • Node Permissions
    • Registered Feeds
    • Spam Cleaner Log

It's on the sidebar under Threads & Posts.
  7. Sidebar for me under Threads & Posts only has "Thread Prefixes".

Maybe the version I am using? I have 1.1.5

Must be, but I'm not too sure.

@Mike can help you better. He may have not seen that this thread's prefix was 1.1.

Bulk Thread Management was new to 1.2.

Indeed I missed that. In 1.1, it would need to be done manually via the inline moderation tools.
