Suggestion: I honestly don't feel that all profile posting content always needs to be pushed to the profile side block. I know 99% of the time I want to make a status update I don't really want it pushed to the side block. So the suggestion is rather than push content by default implement a checkbox that people can select/check if they require their status updates/profile content to be pushed to the side block.
Might even reduce the majority of posts where two people only want to converse in the profile that otherwise didn't really want or need the content to be pushed to the side block.
