Not a bug profile picture upload errorless error

Have a user trying to upload an image as their profile picture. It does not meet the size requirements (that's not the problem here though). The problem we are having is that it is not displaying what the error is they are running into. There is just no text there at all.

Did you try highlighting what's in the box?

Getting same result using xF default style?

Someone may have edited the text of a phrase?

The template for errors don't use phrases. If there's another template I should look at let me know.

Not the issue he is asking about... he already knows it does not meet the size requirements... his inquiry has to do with the error that is not shown... simply a dot with no further text beside it stating what the error might be.

@nesman... have you checked the ACP for any errors that might be shown?
Are you using any profile add-ons that modify where/how they are shown? If so, try disabling them.

Yeah, looks like an uncaught error. Hopefully staff will respond in the thread or give you some hints.

The template for errors don't use phrases.

Here's an example of a phrase used for an upload error.



I suggest you do a search in phrases for the dot you're getting in the dialog box. (Scratch that, it would return all results with a dot in them.)

I haven't been able to reproduce this. If you're still running into this issue with the default style and all add-ons disabled, it may be worth submitting a ticket for further investigation.
