Not a bug Problem with update

Normally, if I update XenForo, I will be able to use the link to my normal domain or the ACP and I got a message that XenForo needs an update. With XenForo 1.4.0 Beta 1 I got error messages. Only if I use /install/index.php?upgrade/ as a direct link it works.

That's expected. The installation instructions do explicitly say that you need to go to the install/ directory; not using that is really just a bonus approach.

When there are fundamental changes to core components in an upgrade, you can't access things until they're sorted. Similar things have happened with 1.2 and 1.3.
