XF 2.2 Prevent users from using animated images in signatures?

Without additional coding, you can just remove "gif" in the allowed file attachment. Although this would be a global rule.

Option > attachments.

Or disable all images in signatures as they are often distracting and interrupt the clean flow of the messages.

Neither of those solutions is good for me unfortunately.

My members enjoy creating and using sigs, so disabling the images isn't an option. And I can't disable gif's globally either, as they are needed in posts.
