XF 2.2 Prevent users from replying to conversations

[TLDR]

Hello,

I negated all permissions related to conversations, and now I noticed that people are still in their conversations. I tried it myself, and while I can't start a new one, I am still able to reply.

So obviously I was about to ask if I missed something in the settings, but as I was typing this thread, this thread popped up.

So I guess this would be not in the core? Is that right?

Or is there a way to disable conversations alltogether?
