XF 2.1 Posts out of Order

Hi - I have an issue I haven't been able to solve that I should revisit. After migrating from vB several years ago I have a ton of posts out of order and utilizing the "rebuild threads" with "rebuild position and post counters" option checked doesn't solve the issue. Is there anything I can do, or can pay someone smarter than me to do? This has significantly impacted the utility of my site, which often has years of chronological information of a technical nature.

triple check that your server time = forum time = personal/user time = local computer time (ie all Central Standard or whatever)

I had a minor oddity with that and once every clock option was sync'd, it went away.
