Post Ratings - taking likes to the next level [Deleted]

Ahaha, I was just coming back to add the fix just now since I just tested it on the default theme and fixed it via Firebug!

Thanks so much guys!

Also seems it only affects Firefox and Internet Explorer, as Chrome seems to be ignoring the negative top margin. At a long stretch this might be a XenForo and/or webkit bug

There is something odd... I can't get this override to work in extra.css.

It worked when forced in Firebug, but the extra.css override will not work for me. Could anything else conflict with that? I'm not overriding that particular selector anywhere else that I'm aware of. I'll try the override on default as well to test.

Hmm.

Override worked fine in default style.

Damnit.

UPDATE: The issue appears to have been connected to WHERE i placed the override in my extra.css template. It wanted it further down and not right at the top for some odd reason.

Again, there is no conflicting code anywhere as I ran full template and style property searches so I'm completely baffled.

That has never happened before, have to research that.

everything has just been a mess since I upgraded my custom template themed forum to 1.2RC1

I installed the upgraded post rating addon but when I try do a "like" (thumbs up) it gives these errors

note it only does this for "likes" and none of the other ones produce this error.

Please help, thanks

As @Andrej said this is a XenPorta issue and you would have the same error almost certainly if you disable post ratings and attempt to like a post through xenforo's built in system.

Suggestion : search for ratings.
So I was having a play with the settings and I was considering the use of the 'Funny' rating. How cool would it be to be able to do a quick search for all the funny posts by using the Funny rating? Maybe order them by most recent or better by most ratings?
This would, of course, apply to all ratings.
But how would you do it?
Use the search drop-down?

I don't necessarily like the idea of spoiling easy and quick drop-downs by adding more to them, so maybe it would be better elsewhere in the search (via More), but you get the idea. Could be a cool way to enhance the usefulness of the post ratings?

Thanks for this great addon, Any plans to add a 'best answer' feature?
I have an interest in this also. Though only for threads for which the OP or a moderator has marked the thread as a question where it's useful to show the best answer. The best answer should then optionally be shown under post #1. Perhaps an expandable area labelled 'Best Answer'.
We should be able to choose in the settings (on a per-forum basis?) which post ratings contribute towards the 'best answer'.

After a little discussion with you in the other thread I'm really warming up to this suggestion. +1

I purchased and paid for this few hours ago, but I have no idea where to download this. Can anyone please help me?

I was actually planning something very similar to this as a new separate addon (supporting either Likes or Post Ratings)

Basically some way of seeing the 'best' posts, either per-thread or with other filters.

Haven't quite fully formed how I'm going to do it yet though, as the inspiration and only other thing that does it that I'm aware of - vBSEO - does it very poorly.

Please PM me your email address used for payment and I'll double check this for you

If you do it, can you also make it so that the right answer changes the color of the postbit too?
