Possible to connect/integrate with WordPress?

Hello,

A friend is looking to buy a license and since he want a Portal/Blog at the main page, he thought about WordPress.

Is it possible to integrate the two? so every registered member at the forum will be registered at the Portal/Blog ?
In order to comment or to get even Alerts.

Also from the Blog editor/writer point of view - is it possible to get alerts (like a thread that he follow) once some one comment on my blog post ?

This is all possible with a bridge, there are several in the RM but I do not know if any of the bridges support the exact features you want.

If he just wants a portal, Wordpress might be overkill. Have a look at any of the many portal add-ons available (most popular being XenPorta and Simple Portal).

Well tbh,
It is more blog, I call it portal as it isn't the forum section

Simple blog posts, but some how to connect it to the forum
