Be aware for Maria-DB version on your server. 10.3.26 cause problems.

If you are going to upgrade to PHP 7.3.x, why not go to PGP 7.4.x?

Agreed. 7.4.12 works very well on my forums. 8.0 is coming, but 7.4 is the place to be now, IMO

Finally found a post where someone says 7.4 works on their forum now I'll upgrade to it after I get home.

I've been using it on the XF forums I manage for some time now. No issues at all except for the brief MariaDB debacle, now fixed, which had nothing to do with PHP.

Just make sure before you upgrade PHP to check the main page of the Xenforo ACP for a list of modules you need to enable with PHP 7.4.x. That's not automatic: Just because you had them enabled in in 7.2 doesn't mean they will be automatically enabled in 7.4.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to make sure I have it install with those. Down side I have to restart my server for remaking of modules to take effect which is annoying which is why I'm switching to nginx with mod_security this afternoon.
