PayPal Alternative

Hi everyone,

I am just wondering what service most of you use instead of paypal. I am not happy with them, and I would like to use someone else. Something that most xenforo scripts are compatible with too.

Please suggest some alternatives.

Google Wallet? I don't know how well it's doing but it's the only viable alternative to PayPal I can think of.

But frankly, I don't think anyone is ever going to dethrone PayPal. The fact along they are in bed with eBay seems to ensure that.

In Holland the most popular service is Ideal
My guess is that about 80% of all the web payments are done with Ideal...

You should use several payment methods. Not every user can or want use every payment method.

2checkout isn't bad, but only as long as you use only USD for products.

If you try to use other currency, they convert all payments to USD after client pays you and then back to your currency when sending money to you bank, but conversion rates for those 2 exchanges are different (just like if converting currency in any bank), so you'll be losing 10% of payment to it. And they don't even mention that anywhere, nor list conversion rates. I found that out hard way, after losing quite a lot of money.
