Password retrieval?

If a user has registered but forgets their password, how do they retrieve or reset it?

Hmm seems like we should have the option to show the forgot password link without the user taking that step.
Some people arrive knowing that they don't know their password so they don't enter any.
I already have one prospective user who tripped up on that and so did I!

I agree, this can prevent unnecessary e-mails to the administrator. However it would add more text to the login section, making it possibly more confusing and messy.

Too bad a small-font "forgot password?" link can't be offered as an admin-switchable option: show-forgotten-password-recovery-link? y/n defaulted to "no".
For my non-techie audience, I think they can tolerate two more words, so I may just customize the template to make it so, if such option is not made available "at the factory".

Someone can feel free to release a template mod to add a forgot password link if people feel it's difficult to add
