XF 2.3 outgoing email not delivered

Hi..

I'm having problems getting the XF outgoing mail to work, I tried all options (except Microsoft OAuth) and none of them is working !!

The Google OAuth is giving me: "Access blocked: This app’s request is invalid".. followed by "You can’t sign in because this app sent an invalid request. You can try again later, or contact the developer about this issue."

Any help is highly appreciated.

in the beginning, it didn't work because I did some mistakes prevented me from getting it to work.

until @Old Nick started helping and explaining lots of things, after that I was able to get it working

the steps to get XF working with Google OAuth are:

1- Go to https://console.cloud.google.com, then "Credentials".
2- click on "create credential" and select "OAuth client ID" then "create OAuth clients ID"..
3 in the application type select web application"
4- in the "authorized redirect URI" paste the URL found in the XF email settings, that is " https://your.domain/admin.php?misc/email-oauth-setup"
5- copy the "client ID" and "client secret" you created and paste them into the email settings in XF.
6- XF will now take you to verify/accept the info you entered for the email settings OAuth

note: before that I added my domain to "postmaster.google.com" and webmaster.google.com" and verified it, but not sure if this step is necessary.
