Optimizing pictures

Hi. Is there any addons which optimizing or caching all pictures which has been uploaded to the forum? Cheers

there is yes....however i think ideally what we want is compressing "thumbnails" and leaving full sized images to be viewed in original form, upon click....

i didnt hear them jump to implement this yet however, and as far as i know no addon supports that

that is the question yes lol......i am asking myself this very moment......as things stand you basically have an option to wide sweep compress everything with a paid addon/custom script, implement a full custom solution, or wait and hope and pray xenforo gets with the times...honestly not sure which but for an image heavy forum we are leaning a little toward custom solution so far....idk....

the tradeoff is mainly because you must force dimension limits, without a solution like i suggested....

that means you have to choose between limiting/resizing ALL member images to likely a much smaller size, and leaving the settings open... which, even if compressing, you will be serving 5000px images or such that are resized to view, but not in serving....so its the same basically as embedding multi 5000px images into a post..........sorry its not an easier answer, believe me i wish....i think the solution can depend how important/frequent image use is tho...

Yeah agree. But as photography forum, there must be an efficient way to do that.

There are 2 optimization addons. Impossible not to see them. I suggest you to use the search which can save you a lot of time. But I agree that we need something like this integrated into the core.
